Cut It Out!

We picked this table up while vacationing in Branson this Summer.

We love finding pieces with original hardware!

When we purchased this piece we figured we would flip it and make a little $$$$.

But Steve came up with the idea to remove part of the base and use it in our hearth room.

So we moved the old coffee table (below) into the living room.

More leg room with this guy!

I distressed the portion of the base that was removed and placed it on our mantle in the living room.

We really did not have to do much to it.

Just gave it a light sanding, a fresh coat of paint and cleaned up the hardware with a wire brush and rubbed a little stain on them to darken them up.

One day I would like to apply some type of transfer to the top.

And I’m digging the new seating arrangement in the living room!

Happy Wednesday :)

  1. I love the way you re-used part of the base as a little vignette item! Such a great idea! I've been trying to figure out ways to re-use more small items like that.

  2. How brilliant - LOVE how this turned out!!!
I've been looking for a round one like this forever ( keep finding square ones )
    Just beautiful -
