Pinterest Challenge - DYI Pallet Shelves Tutorial

I’m back with another Pinterest Challenge!

We have seen several versions of pallet board shelves on Pinterest and have always wanted to give it a try.

So over the weekend we took this poor pallet that was doom for gloom and turned it into something practical, cool, and creative!

We pulled out the jigsaw and made a few cuts.

We used the handsaw to cut the middle piece.

We flipped it over and made the same cuts for the second shelf.

Sanded down the rough edges on our belt sander.

Sanded them with our handy palm sander to clean them up a bit.

For the bottom we cut 4 pieces out of the left over pallet and they were a perfect fit!

We wedged them in-between the two bottom boards.

It was an extremely tight fit so we decided not to attach them with nails or screws.

And we attached them to the wall.
