I decided to change up our chalkboard wall and boy was it hard to erase this masterpiece!!
Our daughter’s boyfriend created this amazing chalk wall for us and I am totally in love with it but decided it was time for a change.

I have been looking and pinning ideas on Pinterest and loved the idea of some type of crown molding, maybe some antlers, possibly a table and a lamp.
Here are a few ideas I found.
Antlers!
YES PLEASE!
Crown Molding!
YES PLEASE!
Lamp!
YES PLEASE!
So I started erasing and erasing and erasing and it was a HUGE mess!
I should have taken more photos of the mess!
I did snap one with my phone :)
Messy! Messy!
And this is what I have come up with so far :)
I hung a gold frame for fun.
And also included a chalk vase and attached some cotton to the wall.
And I have started on the crown molding.
It is a work in progress :)
We will see how well it goes!
I am no artist :/
I might have to bribe Lee into coming over and fixing it for me!
We shall see :)
I plan on attaching some type of hooks to the wall/antlers and hanging these super cute ornaments I snagged last year on clearance!
I considered ordering an actual bust but decided to go with chalk instead.
Easier on the ol’ pocketbook!
But I love the idea of ornaments on the antlers!

I’m thinking it will look awesome!
Here it is today.
I found a place for the yearling heifer above this old ladder.
I removed the magazines and replaced them with a knit throw :)
The boxwood wreath I moved to our hearth room above the buffet.
I also took the swag from our Halloween mantle and shortened it a bit and hung it from the knobs on the buffet.
HAPPY THURSDAY :)
What a beautiful blog. I love the chalk wall idea. Great photos of the process too.
